Tyron Smith plays football professionally and is the Dallas Cowboys’ left tackle in the National Football League. He weighs 141 kilograms and stands 1.96 meters tall. He attended Rancho Verde High School and participated in high school football there. He attended the University of Southern California after high school and played collegiate football for the USC Trojans for three seasons.
In addition to multiple other All-Region distinctions, he was named an All-American by Parade, SuperPrep, PrepStar, Scout.com, and EA Sports. For the freshman team, he filled in as the left offensive lineman. In 10 games, he took part. During his sophomore year, he started his first twelve games as right offensive tackle.
He was given honorable mentions for All-Pac-10 and CollegeFootballNews.com Sophomore All-American for the 2009 campaign. As a junior, he played in twelve contests. He was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft. Smith said in October 2020 that he would forgo the rest of the 2020 campaign after electing to have neck surgery. He was then included in the injured reserve.
He suffered from multiple ankle problems that persisted the entire season. At the beginning of the 2022 season, during a session at training camp, he tore his hamstring. He was placed on injured reserve on August 31, 2022.
