At the University of Kentucky, Logue played baseball after graduating from Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer of 2016.
The Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the 2017 Major League Baseball draft in the ninth round. A rookie with the Bluefield Blue Jays and Low-A Vancouver Canadians, Logue had a 1.47 ERA in 12 combined appearances in his maiden professional season.
