Yonathan Daza, an outfielder with the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball, was born in Venezuela on February 28, 1994.
In October 2010, Daza agreed to terms with the Colorado Rockies as an international free agent. He played for the Rookie-level DSL Rockies throughout his first three professional seasons (2011–2013).
He participated for the Grand Junction Rockies of the Rookie-level in 2014, batting.370/.415/.490/.905 with 4 home runs and 35 RBI. In 2015, he played for the Class A Short Season Boise Hawks and the Class A Asheville Tourists alternately, putting together a batting line of.325/.358/.451/.809 with 3 home runs and 53 RBI.

After the 2017 regular season, Daza played for the Arizona Fall League’s Salt River Rafters.
He was added to the Rockies’ 40-man roster following the 2017 campaign. While playing for the Double-A Hartford Yard Goats in 2018, he hit.306/.330/.461/.791 with 4 home runs and 29 RBI.
Due to a left shoulder injury, he sustained in the latter part of July of that year, he played in just 54 games in 2018. With the Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes, Daza began the 2019 campaign.
On April 9, 2019, after David Dahl was placed on the disabled list, the Rockies first elevated Daza to the main leagues. On the same day, against the Atlanta Braves, Daza made his major league debut.
Daza did not play for the Rockies in any games in 2020, despite David Dahl’s injury and Ian Desmond’s decision to forgo the season due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Up to his injury in August, Daza started center field for Colorado for most of the 2021 season. He ultimately struck. 282 with 30 RBI in 107 games and 2 home homers.
