Shaun Wade is a cornerback with the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He went to Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, Florida, and in 2016, as a senior, he was named USA Today’s High School Football Defensive Player of the Year.

During his time at Ohio State University, where he played college football, Wade was recognized as the Tatum–Woodson Defensive Back of the Year and was regarded as a consensus All-American in 2020. In the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens; however, he was moved to the New England Patriots before ever playing a game with them.

 When Wade was a senior in high school, all four of the teams on which he participated won the Florida State Championship. As a senior, he was named the High School Football Player of the Year by USA Today.



He also earned the Lockheed Martin Defensive Back of the Year award, which was presented by the United States Army All-American Bowl. He committed to Ohio State University to play collegiate football as a five-star recruit.
