Adam Shaheen, a tight end for the Miami Dolphins, competes in the NFL. On October 24, 1994, in Galena, Ohio, he was born. He played football at Big Walnut High School in Sunbury, Ohio, where he was a student. He played college basketball for the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown for one season. In 2014, he changed schools and enrolled at Ashland University, where he immediately joined the football team.

Over the course of his career, he caught passes for 129 receptions for 1,755 yards and 26 touchdowns. Following the 2016 season, Shaheen decided to forgo his senior year and declare for the 2017 NFL Draft. His name was chosen by the Chicago Bears in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Shaheen and the Chicago Bears reached an agreement on a four-year, $5.91 million contract in May 2017. The deal included a $3.17 million guarantee and a $2.43 million signing bonus. He participated in his first professional regular-season game against the Chicago Bears. On a two-yard touchdown pass from Mike Glenn in September 2017, when he made his first career start, he made his first grab.

Shaheen was dealt to the Miami Dolphins in July 2020 in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick. He made his NFL debut for the Dolphins against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5 of the current campaign, scoring his first touchdown. Shaheen and the Dolphins came to terms on a two-year, $7.65 million contract on October 28, 2020.
