Cleveland sat out his actual rookie year. As a redshirt freshman, he participated in all 15 of Georgia’s contests and started the final five, which included the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship game.

Cleveland’s redshirt sophomore season saw him start eight games while missing six due to injury.

In the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Cleveland was taken by the Baltimore Ravens with the 94th overall pick.

Cleveland signed a four-year, $4.8 million rookie contract on July 20, 2021.
At the start of training camp on July 21, 2021, he was added to the active/non-football injury list.

On October 12, 2021, Cleveland was put on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in Week 5 against the Indianapolis Colts. Cleveland was moved off the injured reserve to the active roster on November 20, 2021.
