Cody Davis is an American football safety who currently plays for the New England Patriots in the National Football League. Davis was born on June 6, 1989.

The St. Louis Rams took a chance on him in 2013 and signed him as an undrafted free agent. In addition, he was a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

His college football career at Texas Tech. After his senior year, Davis was honoured by the Associated Press with a spot on the Class 4A Second Team All-State and by his peers as the District 8-4A Defensive Most Valuable Player.



In 2007, he recorded 99 tackles, 21 pass breakups, nine interceptions, seven forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. In addition, he recovered four fumbles.

On September 26, 2014, he was recognized for his achievements and inducted into the Stephenville High School Hall of Fame.

During his junior and senior years at Texas Tech, Davis was named to the first team of Academic All-America and to the second Team of All-Big 12 Players.

In 2011, while he was a junior on the team, he led the squad in total tackles (93) and made 72 solo tackles in addition to 21 assisted tackles.

In 2010, he finished second on the team with 87 total tackles and tied with Bront Bird for the lead with 68 solo tackles. Overall, he was the club’s second-best tackler. In 2008, he was a part of the scout team,

he wore a red shirt, and he started all 13 of the games he played in. Both as a rookie and as a redshirt, he earned All-America honours in 2009.
