Solak’s contract was selected by the Rangers on August 20, and he was promoted to the top levels.



In a doubleheader against the Los Angeles Angels that day, he made his major league debut, hitting his first career hit off Andrew Heaney and hitting his first career home run against Jaime Barra.

Over 33 games for Texas, Solak batted .293/.393/.491 with five home runs and 17 RBI. With a sprint speed of 28.7 feet per second, he was the fastest designated hitter in the majors.

Solak played a multitude of positions in 2020, including designated hitter. On August 9, his first home run of the season was overturned after a referee altered it to an error by Jo Adell.

Solak appeared in 58 games, tying Isiah Kiner-Falefa for the most in the club, and finished with a.268/.326/.344 batting line.

Solak was optioned to the Triple-A Round Rock Express on July 23, 2021, after laboring to a .225/.295/.353 slash line in 92 games to start the season.

On August 20, he was recalled by the Rangers and concluded the season with a .242/.314/.362/.677 batting average, 11 home runs, and 49 RBI.
