Tyre Phillips is a professional football player who plays offensive guard for the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League. He played football his freshman season, sophomore season, and junior season at Grenada High School in Grenada, Mississippi. In order to better his chances of later signing with a Division I institution, he turned down scholarship offers from FCS colleges and chose to enroll at East Mississippi Community College.

He played two seasons with the Lions at East Mississippi Community College before enrolling at Mississippi State in January 2017 to play collegiate football for the Bulldogs. His first year at Mississippi State, he decided to redshirt. During his junior season, he then alternated between playing both tackle positions in an offensive line rotation. Phillips started each of the Bulldogs’ 13 games during his senior year. He participated in the 2020 Senior Bowl following the season. In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens.

He hurt his ankle on November 3, 2020. He was placed on injured reserve, and won’t be activated again until November 30, 2020. In the first half of the team’s season-opening game against the Las Vegas Raiders in September 2021, he sustained a knee injury and had to be carried off the field. He was called from injured reserve in October 2021. He was put on the list in December 2021 again.
