What position is Aaron Crawford?

Aaron Crawford is an American football nose tackle who currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. Crawford was born on November 4, 1997.

He attended North Carolina for his college football career. Stone Bridge High School, located in Ashburn, Virginia, was Crawford’s alma mater.

As a sophomore, he was a key contributor in his team’s run to the championship game of the Virginia AAA Division 5 in 2012.

Crawford, who was rated as a three-star prospect by 247 Sports, decided to sign with North Carolina despite receiving offers from both Virginia and Boston College.

As a junior, Crawford suffered a torn PCL and a sprained MCL while participating in preseason camp. He was able to make it back on October 13, 2018, albeit with some limitations and while wearing a knee brace.

Crawford only made one tackle between the two games, and he rated this stretch as the most difficult of his professional career.

In 2019, Crawford was a senior and played in all 13 games, starting all of them. He finished with 50 tackles, and three sacks, and tied for second on the team with 9.0 tackles for loss,

which was good for a second-place finish. On April 25, 2020, Jamal Crawford became a Baltimore Raven by signing with the team as an undrafted free agent.

This came after he was passed over during the NFL Draft the previous year. On September 5, 2020, he was cut from the team’s active roster in the final roster cuts and signed to the practice squad the following day.

Crawford joined the Ravens on a reserve/futures roster after signing a contract with the team on January 18, 2021.

On August 30, 2022, the Ravens released Crawford after he suffered an injury and then placed him on injured reserve.
