In addition to participating on special teams during every game of his first season at Michigan, Mason also scored two touchdowns on the ground as a fullback. He had a lot of playing time as a fullback as a sophomore, rushing for 80 yards and seven touchdowns on 33 attempts, adding one reception for 15 yards and seven special teams tackles.

He contributed three touchdowns to Michigan’s 56-10 conference-opening victory over Nebraska. During spring practices, Mason was switched to defensive tackle, where he started his junior season as a starter.



One month into the season, he was switched back to fullback and tight end, where he was largely employed as a blocker. As a senior, Mason hauled in two receptions for 17 yards and a score.

The Baltimore Ravens took Mason with the 184th overall choice in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Mason joined the Ravens on May 12, 2021. On August 31, 2021, he was released.

Mason joined the New England Patriots practice squad on September 1, 2021. On November 8, 2021, he was released.

Mason joined the Chicago Bears practice squad on December 7, 2021.

Mason agreed to a reserve/future contract with the Ravens on January 21, 2022.
