For the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League, Carlos “Boogie” Basham Jr. plays football. His nickname was Boogie since he loved to dance when he was little. He stands 1.9 meters tall. Carlos Basham Sr. and Crystal Basham welcomed him into the world on December 16, 1997 in Roanoke, Virginia, in the United States.

He went to Northside in Roanoke, Virginia. As a senior, he recorded 76 tackles and seven sacks. He made the decision to pursue collegiate football at Wake Forest University after high school. He played collegiate football for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons team at Wake Forest University.

After redshirting his freshman year at Wake Forest in 2016, he participated in all 13 games and made 24 tackles in 2017. As a junior in 2018, he recorded 64 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He returned to Wake Forest in 2019 and began there.

He stated that his final year of education would be in 2020 on December 21st, 2019. The Buffalo Bills selected Basham with the 61st overall choice in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. On May 12, 2021, Basham fully committed to the Bills.
