American football guard Chasen Hines, who was born on April 3, 2000, now plays for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He attended LSU for his college athletic career and played football there.
Hines spent a good portion of his childhood playing baseball. He continued to play sports all the way up until he was a junior in high school. On the other hand, over time he developed an appreciation for football. During his senior year and his sophomore year, he participated in the football program at Marshall High School.
He was a defensive tackle recruit with the highest possible rating of four stars. After completing his senior year of high school, he made the decision to play college football for the LSU Tigers, where he was moved from the defensive line to the offensive line and given the position of guard. He was a member of their team for all four years, during which time he participated in a total of 35 games and started 17 of those games.
