What position is Jeremiah Moon?

Former Florida linebacker Jeremiah Moon, who went undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, is ready to sign a contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He currently plays as a linebacker for the team.

Moon played for the Gators in at least one game over the course of six seasons (2016-2021), initially as an edge defender and then as a linebacker. Moon received a medical redshirt after appearing in just two games in 2016.

He then participated in 32 games over the following three seasons, earning an additional year of eligibility in 2020, and made a comeback as a sixth-year player in 2021.

The veteran Gator finished his collegiate career with 151 total tackles, 14.0 tackles for loss, 8.0 sacks, four passes defended, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.

According to NFL.com’s pre-combine ratings, Moon was the only player from Florida to not receive a score of at least 6.0. With a 5.68, Moon qualified as a “candidate for the bottom of roster or practice squad” and was criticized for lacking “functional balance through contact” and the “fluidity to flow with play-action effectively.”

Moon, a former edge rusher who now plays linebacker, had a very impressive overall performance at the combine, placing among the best players in his position group in several categories.

Moon posted an 11-foot-1 broad jump (No. 1) and a 40.5-inch vertical after a 4.76-second 40-yard sprint (fourth-slowest among linebackers) (tied for No. 2).
