Josh Hammond plays American football as a wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. Joshua is 1.83 m tall and weighs 88 kg. While a student at Hallandale High School, he played football for the team. He spent four seasons playing NCAA football for the University of Florida’s Florida Gators after finishing high school.

During his college career, he had 87 receptions for 1,138 yards and six touchdowns and 134 yards and two scores on the ground in 49 games. He signed a non-drafted free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars on April 25, 2020. The Jaguars released him on August 31, 2021, following the conclusion of training camp. He was later re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

He joined the Jaguars’ active roster on December 26, 2021, and played in his first NFL game that day against the New York Jets in Week 16. His reserve/future contract was signed on January 10, 2022. He was freed on May 16th, 2022. On waivers, he was taken in May 2022 by the Philadelphia Eagles. His release happened on July 26th, 2022. In July 2022, he became a member of the New England Patriots.
