Tony Poljan, who was born on April 25, 1997, is currently a free agent in the sport of American football at the position of tight end.
He attended Central Michigan and Virginia for his college football playing careers. As a senior at Lansing Catholic High School, Poljan received numerous accolades,
including being selected to the first team of all-state for Division 5–6 and being named the Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year.
As a junior, he had a total of 2,802 passing yards and 34 touchdown passes, in addition to 1,017 rushing yards and 22 total touchdowns scored on the ground.
Poljan had previously promised that he would play college football for Minnesota, but he backed out of that commitment after head coach Jerry Kill announced his retirement.
In the end, he decided to accept an offer from Central Michigan University rather than Nebraska, Iowa State, or Michigan State. As a freshman for the Central Michigan Chippewas, Poljan was a member of the quarterback and wide receiver positions.
He played only tight end as a junior and was named to the second team of the All-Mid-American Conference after catching 33 passes for 496 yards and four touchdowns.
This led to his selection. Poljan completed his junior year of college with graduation and then made the announcement that he would be applying to transfer schools.
Ultimately, he decided to become a graduate transfer at the University of Virginia. On May 13, 2021, Poljan became a member of the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent after signing with the team.
On August 31, 2021, he was released from the active roster and then signed to the practice squad the following day.
On January 10, 2022, he joined the Ravens on a reserve/future basis by signing a contract with the team. On the 30th of August in 2022, the Ravens released McCrary from their roster.
