Following his university redshirt season, he was honored as the team’s Lifter of the Year. For the Tigers in both 2018 and 2019, he started each of the 25 games. Colon later signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent despite not being selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The practice squad re-signed him the day after his release from the team on September 5, 2020. He played his first game of his career on December 2, 2020, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. On October 12, 2020, he was added to the current roster. On April 18, 2021, he and the Ravens reached an arrangement for a single season. The Ravens issued him an exclusive free-agent tender on March 9, 2022
