Adam Shaheen is an American football tight end who currently plays for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was born on October 24, 1994.

After graduating from Ashland University with a degree in football, the Chicago Bears selected him in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He was the first player from Ashland to be selected in the first round of an NFL draft in the modern era. Big Walnut High School, located in Sunbury, Ohio, was Shaheen’s alma mater.

In high school, he was active in the football and basketball teams. Shaheen attended the University of Pittsburgh in Johnstown for one year and participated in the collegiate basketball program there.

In 2014, he made the move to Ashland University, where he immediately became a walk-on member of the football team. He finished his career with 129 catches, 1,755 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns after scoring on 26 of those grabs.

Following the conclusion of the 2016 season, Shaheen made the decision to bypass his senior year of college and instead join the 2017 NFL Draft.

The deal to send Shaheen to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a conditional seventh-round selection went down on July 26, 2020.

His first touchdown with the Dolphins came in Week 5 against the San Francisco 49ers, which the Dolphins won 43–17. It was his first game with the team.

On October 28, 2020, Shaheen extended his contract with the Dolphins by signing a new one that was for two years and $7.65 million.
