What Team Is Case Keenum On?

Casey Austin Keenum was born on February 17, 1988, he is an American football quarterback for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL).

He played college football for Houston, where he became the NCAA’s all-time leader in total passing yards, touchdowns, and completions. In the 2008 college football season, Keenum ranked first nationally in total offense and second in total passing yards.

On March 24, 2020, Keenum signed a three-year, $18 million contract with the Cleveland Browns. He served as the backup quarterback to Baker Mayfield.

He made his season debut in Week 6 after Mayfield was benched in the third quarter due to an aggravated rib injury. He completed 5 of 10 passes and threw for 46 yards in a 38–7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of three offensive drives.

Keenum was named the starter for the Browns Week 7 matchup against the Denver Broncos on October 20, 2021, due to a shoulder injury from Mayfield. It was his first start since Week 17 of the 2019 season. Keenum went 21-of-33 for 199 yards and a touchdown in the 17–14 win.

Keenum also started the season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals, throwing for 216 yards, two touchdowns, an interception, and losing a fumble during the 21–16 win.

On March 20, 2022, the Browns traded Keenum to the Buffalo Bills for a 2022 seventh-round pick. The trade also reunited Keenum with Stefon Diggs, his partner in the Minneapolis Miracle, who had been on the team since 2020.
