A free safety with the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL, Erik Harris is a professional football player. He stands 1.88 meters tall and weighs 100 kilograms. He played football while he was a student at New Oxford High School. At Pennsylvania Western University, he also spent four seasons playing collegiate football for the California Vulcans.

With 231 defensive tackles, he completed his collegiate career. In 2010 and 2011, he was chosen for both the First and Second teams of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). On April 11, 2013, Harris was acquired by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. For Hamilton, he participated in 45 games while recording 79 defensive tackles and 27 special teams tackles.

He had three interceptions and a touchdown catch for the offense. Harris was given a reserve/future contract by the New Orleans Saints in February 2016. The Saints released him on September 2nd, 2017. He signed a one-year, $630,000 contract with the Oakland Raiders during the same month. On December 21, 2020, the Raiders put him on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

On January 1st, 2021, he was put into service. He inked a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons in March 2021. He was put on season-ending injured reserve after suffering a torn pectoral in Week 14. Through 12 starts, he concluded the season with 64 tackles and eight passes intercepted. He re-signed with the Falcons in March 2022, this time on a one-year deal.
