Frank Clark totalled 10 sacks in his sophomore campaign after spending his debut year in a limited backup position.

The two years after that, he maintained his high level of performance, recording a total of 22 sacks and five forced fumbles. After the 2018 campaign, the Seahawks franchise-tagged Clark and then traded him to the Chiefs, who then signed him to a $105 million contract extension.

For Glenville High School’s head coach Ted Ginn Sr., Clark played a variety of positions in high school, but he had the least interest in playing the position that Ginn thought he was most naturally suited for (outside linebacker or defensive end).

He was especially enthusiastic about playing safety. As a senior, he caught 12 receptions, including three for touchdowns, and made 70 tackles and 19 sacks on defence.

Clark made 2 tackles on September 27 in the third week’s game against the Chicago Bears. On November 29, Clark sacked a Pittsburgh Steelers player.

Clark recorded two sacks on December 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. Clark contributed one sack during the 31-24 loss in the Divisional Round of the 2015–16 NFL Playoffs against the Carolina Panthers.

In week 7 of the 2022 season, Clark recorded his first career safety sacking Jimmy Garoppolo in the endzone.
