Gabriel Arias, who spent the first part of the 2022 season with Columbus, was called up by the Cleveland Guardians as the 29th player for their doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox on April 20, 2022.
Arias’s speed is known to be assessed ordinarily to good evaluations; it is more noticeable in the field than on the bases. At shortstop, where he is a plus defensively, he has good actions and instincts. He is also useful at third and second bases.
