Josh Thomas is a professional football player who is a safety for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. His height measures 1.83 m and he weighs 93 kg. While attending The Montgomery Academy, he played basketball four times and football twice, earning him All-State honors. While attending Appalachian State University, he played collegiate football for the Mountaineers.

In his senior year, he had a career-high 72 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, one interception return for a touchdown of 16 yards, one fumble recovery for 37 yards, and one tackle for loss of one. During his stay in college, he served as the team captain twice. 30 of his 56 games were starts for him.

Thomas joined the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in May of 2020 after being passed over in the NFL Draft. He was discharged as part of the final roster cuts on September 5, 2020. He joined the team’s practice squad the next day. He was added to the active roster in October 2021. On August 31, 2021, the Bills released him once more, and the practice squad later that day.
