Kaleb McGary, an offensive tackle with the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons, was born on February 22, 1995. At Washington, he played collegiate football. Originally from Battle Ground, Washington, McGary attended Battle Ground High School.
Before his second season, his family relocated to Fife High School in Fife, Washington. In high school, he participated in the offensive line, tight end, and defensive line sports. He pledged to play football for the University of Washington.
From 2014 through 2018, McGary was a member of the Washington team. 47 out of 53 of the games he started during his collegiate career. He received the Morris Trophy as a senior.
With the 31st overall selection in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Atlanta Falcons selected McGary. The Falcons traded up from the second round with the Los Angeles Rams to acquire the selection to draft McGary.
After splitting reps with Ty Sambrailo at right tackle in Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings, McGary was named the Falcons starting right tackle. As a rookie, he started all 16 games for the Falcons in the 2019 season.
He would sit out the next game but return to the starting lineup in Week 4 versus Green Bay.
McGary was unavailable for Atlanta’s Week 14 loss to the Chargers and had missed five consecutive practices while attending to a family matter.
