Landon Collins is a professional football player who plays strong safety for the New York Giants of the National Football League. At 99 kg, he is 1.83 meters tall. While attending Dutchtown High School, he was a football and track star. An All-American in football, he played defensive back. He enrolled at the University of Alabama after finishing high school, where he played NCAA football for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

As a junior, he started all 14 of his games, and with 98 tackles, he was the team leader. After his junior season, he decided to declare for the 2015 NFL Draft after being persuaded by their evaluation of him as a potential first-round pick.

During the 2015 NFL Draft’s second round, the New York Giants selected Collins. As an unrestricted free agent for the 2019 season, he signed a six-year, $84 million contract with the Washington Redskins on March 13, 2019. In the Redskins’ loss against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 by a score of 31-21, he recorded a team-high 12 tackles.

Against the Miami Dolphins in week six of the season, he recorded a team-high 12 tackles. He was honored as the NFC defensive player of the week in recognition of his efforts. Collins rejoined the Giants on October 6, 2022, and was added to the practice squad. The Week 7 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars took place in the same month, and he was elevated off the practice squad.
