Lorenzo Carter is an Atlanta Falcons linebacker in the National Football League. He is 1.96 m tall and 114 kg in weight. He attended Norcross High School, where he earned a reputation for playing football. He was selected for the USA Today All-USA high school football team following his senior year in 2013.
He took part in collegiate football with the Georgia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia. In his 13 games as a true freshman, he made five starts, earning the University of Georgia newcomer of the year honor. The New England Patriots were the opponent in week six of the 2019 season, and he forced a fumble that teammate Markus Golden was able to recover. He finished the season second on the squad in sacks with 4.5. When the 2020 season began, he was the Giants’ starting pass rusher. In Week 5, he suffered an Achilles rupture.
On October 19, he was placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. During Week 5 of the 2021 season against the Dallas Cowboys, Carter intercepted his first pass of his career from Dak Prescott. He agreed to sign with the Atlanta Falcons for a season on March 22, 2022.
