Raimel Antonio Tapia Linarez, a Dominican professional baseball outfielder with the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball, was born on February 4, 1994. The 28-year-old athlete is a native of San Pedro De Macarois, Dominican Republic. Tapia debuted in the Major League Baseball in 2016 with the Colorado Rockies.

Tapia was signed as an international free agent by the Colorado Rockies in 2010. He spent the 2013 season with the Rookie-level Pioneer League’s Grand Junction Rockies, where he was named the league’s Player of the Month for July.

Prior to the 2014 season, he was named the Topps Pioneer League Player of the Year[4] and Baseball Prospectus ranked him as the No. 97 prospect in all of baseball.

After the 2015 season, the Rockies added him to their 40-man roster. Tapia began the 2016 season with the Class AA Eastern League’s Hartford Yard Goats and was named to the 2016 All-Star Futures Game.

In August, Tapia was assigned to the Albuquerque Isotopes of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League. On September 2, 2001, the Rockies promoted Tapia to the major leagues.

Tapia was again traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for Randal Grichuk on March 24, 2022, where he currently plays.
