J. K. Dobbins is well-known for playing American football as a running back with the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens. He is 1.78 m tall and 96 kg in weight. He attended La Grange High School in La Grange, Texas. During his high school football career, he accumulated 5,149 yards and 74 touchdowns.



He rushed for 2,243 yards and scored 37 touchdowns as a sophomore; 2,740 yards and scored 35 touchdowns as a junior. He played in just one game his senior year due to an injury. He played football for the Ohio State Buckeyes at Ohio State University, where he was a student.

In his Ohio State debut, he ran the ball 29 times for 181 yards. In December 2019, he decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2020 NFL Draft. He was ranked second all-time in rushing yards with 4,459 when he graduated from Ohio State. Three Big Ten titles, two bowl games, and four Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors were all won by him.
