James Ferentz is a centre who now competes for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. Born June 5, 1989, Ferentz.

The Houston Texans made the decision to sign him as an undrafted free agent in 2014 after deciding to take a chance on him. He played football as a student at Iowa College.

He has also played for the Denver Broncos in the past. Ferentz played football while he was a student at Iowa City High School in Iowa City, Iowa.

In his senior year, he wrestled in a state competition for high school wrestlers in Iowa, where he placed second. Ferentz attended Iowa between 2008 and 2012, where he played college football as a student.

He was chosen to the All-Big Ten second team while playing for the University of Iowa. On May 16, 2014, the Houston Texans made the announcement that they had signed Ferentz.

The Texans dismissed him from his contract on September 5, 2015. He played in 13 games for the Denver Broncos in 2015 as a member of the team. He participated in the 2016 Broncos team that won the Super Bowl 50 victory.

Ferentz joined the New England Patriots on May 18, 2017.  On September 2, 2017, he was released, and the following day, he was added to the practice squad.

On February 6, 2018, he agreed to a reserve/future deal with the Patriots. Ferentz re-signed with the Patriots on March 14, 2022.
