When did Nik Needham get drafted?

A cornerback for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League, Nik Needham was born as Nikolas James Needham. His height is 1.85 meters. He weighs 89 kg in total. At Buena Park High School, he finished both his high school education and football career.

He graduated from high school and went on to play collegiate football for the UTEP Miners squad while attending the University of Texas at El Paso. Redshirting his freshman season, he played for the UTEP Miners for five seasons. He finished his college career with 213 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and a school-record 33 passes broken in 41 games played.

He and the Miami Dolphins reached an agreement on a free agent contract in April 2019. He was let go as part of the team’s final roster cuts in August 2019, however the following day, he was added to the practice squad. His promotion to the active roster occurred in October 2019. He made his NFL debut the next day against the Washington Redskins, starting at cornerback and ending with one tackle and one pass deflection.

He received an exclusive-rights free agency tender from the Dolphins on March 8, 2021. He signed the yearly agreement on April 19. In the second round of the 2022 draft, the Dolphins made him a restricted free agent offer.
