For the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens, Brandon Stephens plays free safety. He stands 1.85 meters tall and weighs 98 kilograms.He was raised in Plano, Texas, where he also finished high school. As a senior, he amassed 1,389 yards on the ground and 15 touchdowns, making him an All-State selection.

He attended the University of California, Los Angeles after high school and played NCAA football for the UCLA Bruins there. Stephens started out as a running back while attending UCLA. Stephens made the decision to leave the program after appearing in just two games as a junior and graduating in three years.

Stephens was immediately qualified to play after transferring to SMU as a graduate student. After talking with head coach Sonny Dykes in the offseason, the SMU coaching staff switched him to cornerback. In his debut season with the team, he was elevated to the starting lineup and led SMU with 12 interceptions.

He made 43 tackles as a redshirt senior, breaking 10 passes and intercepting one. The Baltimore Ravens selected him with the 104th overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Stephens and the Ravens come to terms on a four-year rookie deal in July 2021.
