Famous football player Durham Smythe is an American tight end with the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League. He was born on August 9, 1995, in Havertown, Pennsylvania and he is currently 26 years old.

Smythe attended Belton High School, where he participated in high school football. Smythe went to Notre Dame and played college football there. At Notre Dame, he participated in collegiate football.

He caught 28 passes for 381 receiving yards and six touchdowns in four years. The Miami Dolphins selected Smythe in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft with the 123rd overall pick, using the pick they received from Cleveland in the Jarvis Landry trade.



He played his first NFL game against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 of the 2018 campaign. He made his first two career receptions in Week 12’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts.

He has six receptions for 50 receiving yards in the 2018 campaign. Smythe started 14 of the 16 games he played during the 2019 season. In total, he caught seven passes for 65 receiving yards.

He scored his first career touchdown on a four-yard reception against the New York Jets in Week 6 of the 2020 campaign. Smythe re-signed with the Dolphins on a two-year contract on March 22, 2022.
