He played college football at South Alabama and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018.

Reaves was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, and went to Pensacola Catholic High School, where he participated in both baseball and football. He was a quarterback for the school’s football team.



His inability to gain yards after contact on carries was a major factor in his coach’s decision to switch him from running back to defensive back after his sophomore season with the Crusaders. He had started out playing running back for the team.

Even though he was sidelined for a significant portion of his junior season due to vertebrae fractures, he still managed to record 39 tackles and five interceptions, earning him a spot on the first team of all-area players and an honorable mention spot on the All-State team.
