Andy Lee grew up and attended West-Oak High School in Westminster. Lee was a standout athlete at West-Oak High School, where he earned a letter in three different sports: football, baseball, and basketball. As a senior in high school, he played punter, tight end, and wide receiver for the football team



As a senior, his career punting average was 42.8 yards, which earned him a ranking of 33rd in the state of South Carolina by SuperPrep.

In basketball, he was named to the All-Conference team twice, and in baseball, he was an integral part of the team that won the district championship and advanced to the state playoffs.

After an impressive high school career, Andy Lee attended the University of Pittsburgh and played for the Pittsburgh Panthers football team from 2000 to 2003.

Lee won the starting position late in his true freshman season and served as Pittsburgh’s punter for three seasons.

Both his 244 punts and his 10,353 yards punted are the most ever recorded in the history of the school.
