Where Did Austin Gomber Go To College?

Austin Gomber went to college at Florida Atlantic University after he graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida. In college, he played for the Florida Atlantic Owls. He was born on November 23, 1993, and is currently 28 years old.

Gomber currently plays for the Major League Baseball Colorado Rockies (MLB). In Major League Baseball, he had previously played for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Gomber was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals with a $374,100 bonus in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB Draft. His first job was with the Class A-Short Season New York–Penn League’s State College Spikes. He was one of the two 2015 Co-Minor League Pitchers of the Year, according to the Cardinals

Gomber signed the Palm Beach Cardinals at the start of 2016 before being promoted to the Springfield Cardinals in July. On July 30, 2016, he went against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in his second start for Springfield and went seven innings.

On April 29, 2018, the Cardinals promoted Gomber from Memphis to the position of a long relief pitcher. He was optioned back to Memphis on May 4 however he failed to show up.

Gomber, along with minor leaguers Elehuris Montero, Mateo Gil, Tony Locey, and Jake Sommers, was exchanged for Nolan Arenado by the Colorado Rockies on February 1, 2021.
