Carl Davis is a defensive tackle in the NFL who competes for the New England Patriots football team. He participated in football at Adlai Stevenson High School during his high school years. He was selected for the first team of all-state by the Macomb Daily, Detroit News, and Detroit Free Press.

After being named to the second team as a junior, he was named to the conference’s first team in his senior year. While a student at the University of Iowa, he participated in collegiate football as a player for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He received a redshirt in 2010 while a true freshman at the University of Iowa. As a redshirt freshman, he has played in six games and has two tackles.

He started each of the 13 games in his debut season as a starter in 2013. In the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected him. In May 2015, he committed to the Ravens with a four-year, $2.95 million contract that also included a $625,084 signing bonus. The Browns released Davis in August of this year. In October of this year, he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts.
