Derrick Nnadi is an American football defensive tackle for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL).
He went to the New York Jets’ exclusive practice. Nnadi was predicted by NFL draft analysts and scouts to be selected in the third or fourth round at the completion of the pre-draft process. Scouts Inc. ranked him as the seventh-best defensive tackle in the draft, and DraftScout.com ranked him as the 11th-best defensive tackle prospect.
Nnadi was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
In order to choose Nnadi, the Chiefs dealt their third-round selection (86th overall) and fourth-round pick (122nd overall) to the Baltimore Ravens for the Ravens’ third-round pick (75th overall).
In honour of each Chiefs’ victory this season, Nnadi has donated the adoption fee for a dog at a nearby Kansas City animal shelter. He paid the adoption fees for each dog available for adoption at the shelter in honour of winning Super Bowl LIV.
On March 20, 2022, Nnadi re-signed with the Chiefs.
