Harrison Butker is an American football kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). In 2019, he led the NFL in scoring and won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs. He has earned the nickname Butt Kicker (a play on words on his last name and position).

Butker attended The Westminster Schools, where he participated in football as a rising sophomore after taking up the sport. He kicked a field goal that was 53 yards further than the previous school record.

He participated in basketball, football, and soccer as a three-sport athlete, earning three state soccer titles. He also served as the first-chair tuba player for the school’s (upperclassman) symphonic band all four years.

Butker was chosen by the Carolina Panthers with the 233rd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was chosen as the third and final kicker in 2017.

Butker and the Panthers agreed to a four-year, $2.48 million contract on May 5, 2017, which also included a $83,112 signing bonus. On September 14, 2017, he was released, and the following day, he was added to the practice squad.
