Ja’Wuan James is a professional football player who lines up at offensive guard for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens. In Suwanee, Georgia, he attended North Gwinnett High School. In his second year, North Gwinnett made it all the way to the GHSA Class 5A state final. He was rated as the eighth-best offensive guard prospect in his class and the sixth-best prospect from Georgia by, who gave him a four-star rating.

He attended the University of Tennessee after high school, where from 2010 to 2013 he competed in football for the Tennessee Volunteers. Between 2010 and 2013, James studied at the University of Tennessee. For the Volunteers, he started 49 straight games. The star performer on the offensive line was him.

In the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected James. The Miami Dolphins decided to activate the fifth-year, $9.34 million option on James’ rookie contract on May 1st, 2017. He committed to the Denver Broncos in March 2019 in a $41 million, four-year contract.

He agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal with the Baltimore in June 2021. To begin the season, he was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list on August 31, 2021. On December 8, 2021, James was added to the reserve/non-football injury list and was given permission to start working out again.
