Where Did Leighton Vander Esch Attend College And Highschool?

Leighton Vander Esch is currently in his fifth season with the Dallas Cowboys. The former Boise State Broncos linebacker was drafted by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.



 Vander Esch was a student at Salmon River High School in Riggins, where he participated in track and field, eight-man football, and basketball. In 2014, he had a total of eleven pupils in his graduating class.

Vander Esch’s positions on the football team included quarterback and middle linebacker. He completed 121 passes out of 199 attempts, which is a completion rate of 60.8%. He threw for 2,155 yards and 28 touchdowns while only throwing one interception.

Leighton Vander Esch attended Boise State University after high school and played for the Boise State Broncos from 2014 to 2017.

During his redshirt freshman season in 2015, he played in all twelve games as a backup linebacker and recorded 20 tackles, including 14 solo stops, one sack, one fumble recovery, and the first down on a fake punt.

He was only able to play in six games as a sophomore in 2016 due to a neck injury, but he made a comeback in the team’s game against Air Force. He finished the season with 27 tackles (23 solo), 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and one interception
