Offensive tackle with the New York Giants of the National Football League Matthew “Matt” Peart is an American football player of Jamaican descent. He is 144 kg in weight and 2.01 m tall. He played football for the school’s football team at the Governor’s Academy in Massachusetts as an offensive and defensive lineman, helping the Governors win four consecutive Independent School League championships.

He chose the University of Connecticut to play collegiate football and was a two-star recruit when he graduated from high school. He was a football player for the UConn Huskies at the University of Connecticut. His first season at UConn was spent redshirting.

In line with his redshirt junior season, he began each of UConn’s 12 games while on the bench. He was selected to the American Athletic Conference’s first team during his senior season. The New York Giants selected Peart with the 99th overall choice in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In his sixth career week, he made his NFL debut. He once participated in collegiate athletics.
