Micah McFadden is a native of Tampa, Florida, and is currently in his first season with the Cowboys.

Micah McFadden started his football career at Plant High School in Tampa, Florida. During his time at Plant high school, he was able to record an outstanding stats from his junior year through to his senior year.

As a senior, McFadden set a program record with 211 tackles, including 124 solo stops, 39 for losses, seven sacks, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries.

He set the school single-game record for tackles (23) and scored four touchdowns. McFadden was an integral part of Plant’s run to the 7A state championship game in 2016 and to the semifinals in 2017.

McFadden also received numerous awards during his high school career. He was the FACA Player of the Year and first-team All-Western Conference selection in 2017.

Micah McFadden attended  Indiana University Bloomington and played college football for the Indiana Hoosiers from 2018 to 2021.

McFadden started all 12 games he participated in his first year, recording 20 tackles and one forced fumble. His responsibilities expanded as a sophomore, and he finished the year with a total of 61 tackles, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.

The linebacker earned Indiana University’s Defensive Player of the Year for Most Outstanding Performance in his first year playing for the Hoosiers.
