Zayne Anderson plays defensive back for the Kansas City Chiefs in the National Football League.

He attended Stansbury High School, where he played running back and safety in high school football. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Brigham Young University, where he played NCAA football for the BYU Cougars.

He played in eight games as a freshman in 2015, mostly on special teams, and he recorded three tackles. He played in all 13 games as a sophomore in 2016 and made 11 tackles, including six solo. He played safety in 2017, his junior season.



He played safety, made 61 tackles overall, including 41 solo stops, and was present for all 12 games. He played in two games in 2019, starting one before getting injured, during his medical redshirt year.

Due to an injury, he had to sit out the first two seasons of his time at BYU, but he still played in 50 games and made 162 tackles during that time. Anderson was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft.

He was added to the team’s practice squad after being discharged on August 31, 2021. In December 2021, he was elevated to the active roster. Anderson was released by the Chiefs on August 30, 2022, and was added to the practice squad the following day.
