At Brockton High School, where he played high school football and was named to the Boston Globe and Brockton Enterprise All-Scholastic teams, he was a student. Additionally, he was named to the ESPN Boston All-State team and the Big Three Conference.

Following high school, he enrolled at Boston Collegiate and played for the Boston Eagles in college football. He made five left tackle starts in his six games as a rookie in 2015. In his sophomore season, he took part in 12 games, starting 12 of them at left tackle. In his junior campaign in 2017, he started all 13 contests.

In the 2018 season opener against UMass, he started at left tackle and took part in 70 snaps. He was a senior.
