Senzatela made his professional debut in 2012 with the Rockies of the Dominican Summer League after being signed by the Colorado Rockies as an amateur free agent.

Senzatela pitched for the Asheville Tourists of the Class A South Atlantic League and recorded a 15-2 win-loss record with a 3.11 earned run average (ERA), helping the team capture the league title. In 2014, MiLB.com chose Senzatela as one of the Rockies’ Organization All-Stars.



He was ranked as the Rockies’ 11th top prospect prior to the 2015 season by MLB.com. After the 2015 season, the Rockies added Senzatela to their 40-man roster.

Senzatela pitched for the Class AA Eastern League’s Hartford Yard Goats in 2016.

Senzatela was added to the Rockies’ roster for Opening Day in 2017, and on April 6 he made his main league debut. Senzatela was named the National League’s Rookie of the Month for April after going 3-1 with a 2.81 ERA in five starts.

On April 23, 2022, in a game against the Detroit Tigers, Senzatela allowed Miguel Cabrera’s 3,000th hit. A single was hit into the right field on the play. Unfortunately, the Rockies would lose 13-0.
