Dalton Risner plays offensive guard for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League. He stands 1.96 m tall and weighs 142 kg. He graduated from Wiggins High School and was selected as an all-state player by the Denver Post in 2012 and 2013. He played for Wiggins High School. From 2014 through 2018, he participated in college football for the Kansas State Wildcats team at Kansas State University.

He redshirted his true freshman year in 2014, then in 2015, he started 13 games at center and was named to Campus Insiders’ First Team Freshman All-America as well as the second teams of Athlon and Scout.

At right tackle, he started all 13 of the 2016 regular-season games, and all 12 of the 2017 contests. While in college, he participated in 51 games, starting 50 of them. At the 2019 NFL Draft’s second round, the Denver Broncos picked Risner with the 41st overall choice. By the end of the season, he had started each of the 16 games, making him one of just 10 rookies in the NFL to do so.

For the second consecutive year, he started every game in 2020’s 16 scheduled contests while without giving up any sacks and making any mistakes. The third-highest number of offensive line snaps in 2021 were accounted for by his 15 starts (832). He was put on injured reserve on January 5, 2022, and did not participate in the season.
