Adell signed up with the AZL Angels in June 2017 to begin his professional career. After recording a batting line of.288/.351/.542 with four home runs, 21 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases, he was subsequently promoted to the Orem Owlz. For the rest of the season, he played for Orem, going.376/.413/.518 with one home run and nine RBIs in 18 games.



On August 4, 2020, the Angels called up Adell to the major leagues. He went 1-for-4 in his major league debut that night against the Seattle Mariners.

On August 29, 2020, Adell hit his first home run in the major league off Justus Sheffield of the Seattle Mariners.

That evening against Aaron Fletcher, he hit his second home run in the majors. Adell’s first season at the plate went well. 38 games at a slash line of 161/212/266 with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs.

Adell began the 2021 campaign with triple-A Salt Lake City. He got called up to the major leagues on August 2. The next day, he faced the Texas Rangers in his first game of the season, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs, and a stolen base.

On August 17 against the Detroit Tigers, Adell hit his first career grand slam. In 35 games, Adell batted.246/.295/.408 with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs.
