Where Is Tim Mayza From?

Tim Mayza is one of the professional baseball players in the major leagues. He plays for the Toronto Blue Jays as a pitcher and has been in the organisation since 2013. He is 1.88m.tall.

He was born on January 15, 1992. Tim attended Upper Perkiomen High School in Red Hill, Pennsylvania where he played both baseball and basketball. After high school, he enrolled at the Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He played college baseball there and also played collegiate summer baseball in 2012 with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

During the 2013 MLB draft, the Toronto Blue Jays selected him in the 12th round of the draft. He agreed to play for the Jays and was given $100,000 as a signing bonus. He made his professional debut that year with the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Blue Jays.

That same season, the Jays promoted him to play for the Rookie Advanced Bluefield Blue Jays of the Appalachian League. In the 2014 minor league season, Tim played for both the Bluefield and the Short Season-A Vancouver Canadians.

He was assigned to spend the 2015 season with the Class-A Lansing Lugnuts. He spent the 2016 season with the Advanced-A Dunedin Blue Jays. That year, he was promoted to play with the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats. At the beginning of the 2017 season, the Jays invited him to the Major League spring training and he was assigned to the Double-A New Hampshire that year.

He was called up to the major leagues on August 14, 2017, and he made his MLB debut on August 15, 2017, for the team.
