The Cincinnati Reds drafted Davis in the eleventh round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. The Reds promoted Davis to High-A Dayton right away in 2021 to start the season.

After which he was transferred to the Billings Mustangs for the rest of the season, he made his professional debut in 2019 with the Arizona League Reds.
