Reid Ferguson is an American football player for the National Football League’s Buffalo Bills. He fills the role of long snapper. For his college football career, he attended LSU.

The Buffalo Bills elected to take a chance on Ferguson by signing him as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2016. He was relieved from his commitments on August 30, 2016.

He was signed to the team on November 2, 2016, and became a member of the practice squad. He joined the Bills organization on January 2, 2017, via a reserve/future contract. Ferguson was the Bills’ starting long snapper in 2017, and he featured in all 16 of the team’s games that season.

Ferguson signed a three-year contract extension with the Bills on January 28, 2019, extending his playing career with the team through the 2021 season.

Ferguson signed a new contract with the Bills on May 28, 2021, that would keep him through the 2024 season. The contract was extended for three years.

Following the signing of defensive end Jerry Hughes to the Houston Texans in 2022, Ferguson became the Buffalo Bill with the longest active tenure of any active player.

Ferguson’s brother, Blake Ferguson, is a member of the Miami Dolphins football team and also serves as the team’s long snapper.
